A panorama of Mokuleia Bay, Maui using three images.
Lots of sea turtles and interesting lava formations in this area. Off to the left we rescued a sea turtle who managed to wedge himself into the rocks during low tide. The turtle could barely get his head above water for air so we decided to intervene and not wait to see if high tide would free him. Another fellow assisted me by pushing on the sea turtle from underwater while I pushed from above, being mindful of the gentle sea creature's powerful jaws. After a few minutes we freed the turtle, who took off like a bat out of hell.
