13 is Unlucky

Bruce Shepard is now Western Washington University's 13th unlucky president.

In this morning's Seattle Times online edition of the local news section it would appear that Mr. Shepard is either a happy-faced murderer or his picture is in the wrong place at the wrong time. Instead of his picture floating to the right of his story, WWU confirms new president, it mysteriously made it to the top where it floated alongside this headline: "Man is charged in roommate's death".

I've completed installing Lightbox Photo Gallery Software onto the Twist of Lime Web site. In time this PHP and MYSQL driven gallery software solution will drive the digital store. The look and features have been customized by myself. Shopping cart features have been turned off for now. Eventually I will sell my artwork through Paypal and provide a private image gallery for clients. Visit the digital store, create a lightbox or send an image to a friend.

Neighborhood Listserve

The other day I found a set of important looking keys on top of a trash can at Spinney Park in Kirkland, WA. Looking around the park I could see no one to whom I could ask about the missing keys. I briefly debated whether or not to leave them, thinking that the owner might be back through, frantically retracing their steps and searching in vain. I opted to take the keys home whereupon arriving I fired off an email to Karen who runs the Kirkland Highlands Neighborhood Association listserve. Within minutes of receiving my email she sent out an e-mail bulletin announcing my find.
